We have three favourite restaurants, and a couple of others that we would strongly recommend:

This is a wonderful place, opened in 1964, which offers superb food at reasonable prices, their starters (Antipasti) are often enough to fill you, the pasta dishes fresh and tasty, and the main course (l'secondo) is always very good. Try Papa's local wine, it's inexpensive, and quite drinkable. The desserts (dolci) are varied and always good. The service is friendly, and is always ready to help. Nazerano speaks some English, but if you say that you are staying at Anne's Place, you will be treated royally; ask for Ernestina (one of the waitresses) who will do her very best for you. The pizzas are also excellent.

This small trattoria is placed in the first square in Palestrina, in the winter there are only about 20 covers, but come spring, he opens the "tent" and you can eat overlooking the piazza. The food is good, the service friendly. Tell them you are from Anne's Place. Pizzas are also very good

Pizzeria and restaurant, but try their pizzas. Apart from the flair of having the pizza oven in the restaurant itself, where you can watch them being prepared, the rest of the food id very good. They know Anne. and will always try to help.

Very much the restaurant for special occasions, it's that bit more up market, and a bit more pricey. But the food is excellent, the service brilliant, they speak English. Specialties include fresh fish and truffles (both black and white), which you can have on anything (try them with fettuccini). A wonderful selection of malt whiskies.  Certainly worth a visit, especially for that special day.

Recently opened, a high class restaurant specialising in sea food and good steaks. A very good menu, well presented, and the food is excellent. Karl (their head waiter) speaks good English and will assist you in making the best selections from their menu and wine list.

Another recently opened restaurant, good for trenchermen, with a fixed price menu from 15 Euro, providing hearty food for a hearty appetite.
